Ruin Me

Lord come and meet me
Open my eyes to see your glory
Destroy all the fallacies I have made
And return me from my misguided ways

Show me the light of your face
And forever dim all I think great
Ruin the comfort of a life
Focused upon such little worth

I tire of walking the way of the world
Holding dear to the trappings of man
Ruin me of the mundane
Against your marvelous grace

For when you draw near
All else grows dim
And the beauty I once knew
Hides only the darkness within

Ruin me with your presence
Leave me hungry for nothing but you
Save me from a life with so little purpose
Ruin me, to make me like you
